Tarot Card for the Day, December 30, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Eight of Wands Reversed

This is a day of the beginning of fulfillment of some long term dreams or goals that we have been working on manifesting. Upright this card generally talks about the very beginnings of setting those things into motion. Today my sense is that we are starting to see some of the first fruits of our efforts in this long term endeavor. It’s the kind of wonderful little occurrence that encourages us to keep going on our path.

Peace,

Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 29, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Seven of Swords Reversed
Today there will be someone in your life that has tried to pull something without you knowing about it. They aren’t aware that you are already aware of the situation and they will come clean with you today, offering you the opportunity to forgive them if you so desire.
Peace,
Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 28, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Ten of Pentacles
This is a day to remember not to focus on the shadows in our lives, but to focus on the good things. A day to be grateful for what is good and happiness making. A day to put our eyes on that so that we don’t allow the shadows to grow bigger than they really are, in our own minds.
Peace,
Amista

The World - XXI
This is a day of goals realized. Things that we have been working on and longing for are finally at hand, but not without our input, which makes them that much sweeter today.

Amista

Resting

Everyone has certain points in their lives where it is beneficial to pull back and rest and re-evaluate how they spend their time.
I have been pushing myself hard now for the last several weeks, knowing that something was going to have to give at some point, and trying to evaluate what would be best to let go of for a while.
I have hit that critical place now, where my body is insisting that it be paid attention to. So I will not be writing here temporarily. I anticipate taking a week to become rejuvenated again. Once I am in that place, I will pick this back up again.
For now, dear readers, I wish you all the best on this journey we are making through this thing we call life, know that I will be thinking of you all, and I will be back soon.
I leave you with an appropriate image from the deck I use when I work directly with clients, the Wildwood Tarot.
Peace,
Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 10, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Nine of Wands
This is a day to focus on and appreciate everything that we have accomplished so far. Many times we get caught up in accomplishing the next goal without taking time to appreciate those things that we have already done or those ways that we have already grown as people.
It’s good though, to have an attitude of gratitude about those things, and to look at them and acknowledge them as we go along. Today is the perfect day for that.
Peace,
Amista
PS: We have hit 2000 pageviews, and to celebrate that I am giving away another free reading!
Here are the rules for the contest this time around. The winner must be fluent in English and live in either the United States or Canada. (That’s where my phone service covers.) The winner must be at least 18 years old to receive the reading for themselves. (If younger than that, the winner may gift the reading to someone within three days of claiming the prize.) The winner has 48 hours to contact me after I have sent them notice of winning the contest. If I haven’t heard from the winner within that time frame, they will relinquish the prize by default and I will choose another winner. I will be choosing the winner from the people who share this blog entry within 24 hours of it’s posting on any of the following social media: Facebook, Spiritual Unite, Linkedin, Google +, or Twitter. Of all the people that share the blog, I will put names in a hat and have someone I know draw out a winning name.
Best of luck to you all.

Tarot Card for the Day, December 9, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Knight of Swords
This is not a day to beat around the bush. We are searching for the truth as are those around us. The only way the truth can be found is through honesty and transparence. Sometimes it seems that the easier thing, the better thing, is to tell a little “white lie”. The truth is that it is the easier thing only in the short run, but in the long run, there is a bigger price to be paid for that little white lie.
(We don’t have to be hurtful to be truthful. We can find gentle ways to communicate the truth with others.)
For instance, let’s say that there is a newlywed couple. They are just setting up home together and adjusting to sharing space with someone else. She is very proud of her bread pudding recipe and just thinks that her bread pudding is the best dessert there could ever be. She makes some for the first time for her new husband. He politely eats one serving of it, but doesn’t say anything about how much he likes it…..because he doesn’t like bread pudding in general, and it just so happens, that his new wifes bread pudding is no exception.
She presses him to tell her his opinion. He squirms as he weighs out his options. He can spare her feelings since she is obviously so excited to share this pudding she makes with him, and so anxious to know what he thinks.
He could tell a little “white” lie and say that it was delicious. If he does, that will encourage her to keep making it regularly for him, and he will have to keep pretending to like it as he politely eats it for as long as they are together.
Or, he could tell her the truth, that bread pudding just isn’t his favorite food in general and there are probably lots of other desserts she could make that he would enjoy much more. Now he won’t be forced to pretend to like something he doesn’t care for anymore, and she won’t spend more time and energy on making her bread pudding because he likes it so much. She will explore cooking other things for dessert that will work better for both of them.
Which one scenario will work better for you? White lying? Or telling the truth?
Peace,
Amista

Seven of Swords, Reversed
Today there will be something revealed to us that has been right under our noses all along, but somehow we just kept looking right past it…..For those of us that meditate, we should pay special attention to the messages Spirit gives us today. This one will be a biggie! As in, life-changing in bigger ways than normally.

Tarot Card for the Day, December 7, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

King of Swords
This card is being used by Sacred Spirit today to remind us that we create what comes into our lives by our own thoughts. We have the power to create negative, and the power to create positive equally as well as each other. The choice is ours as to what we will create for ourselves.
What will you create through the power of your thoughts?
Peace,
Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 6, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Emperor
It’s interesting that we got the Empress yesterday, and her counterpart today. I haven’t figured what would be the odds of that happening, but they can’t be that overwhelming!
Today is a great day to be focused on how well grounded you are and how you could make that better. We will each find ourselves in some kind of vulnerable position where it will help us tremendously to stay grounded as we walk through that.
Being aware of how grounded we are, and making sure we are in that grounded place for ourselves also helps us to keep our own authority focused where we want it to be focused so we can accomplish what we want to.
Peace,
Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 5, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

Empress
Today is a day of happiness and creativity. Something we have been working on has reached fruition or had reached a new level better than it was before.
This is a great day to contemplate our creativity and how we use it to create the things, circumstances and relationships in our lives, and how we can do that with results that are even more happiness making.
Peace,
Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 4, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Three of Swords
This card is being used today to tell us that today is a day of heart-ache of some kind. Possibly betrayal, possibly expectations suddenly crashing down, whatever it is, the swords to the swans back suggest what I think of as a “sneak attack”. It’s something unexpected that brings the heartfelt pain to us today.
I’m not posting this at the regular time, the evening before the day in study. I believe that a lot of what we have in life is a result of what we create with our hearts and minds. I also believe that some of us are more subject to being influenced from the outside than others. I don’t want to be responsible for planting a seed like this in the mind of anyone, therefore this blog will be published late, after the day has pretty much gone by for most. Then you, my readers, can just read it after the fact and see how close it was, or how far off.
Peace,
Amista

The Sun –XIX-Reversed
The energy of this card today in the reversed position is being used by Sacred Spirit to speak to me about a day when we are out of our typical routine. Things are just a little different than usual.
On top of that, we have lots of things on our plates today. Many people relying on us, many tasks to accomplish, many ideas and opportunities coming to us. Today is chock full of all kinds of new opportunity and will be just as good as we choose to make it!
Yay, us!

Amista

Tarot Card for the Day, December 2, 2013, (Shadowscapes Tarot Image ©Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)

Six of Wands Reversed
Sacred Spirit is using the energy of this card to show us that our view of our own importance right now may be out of whack.
Many of us don’t realize how important one person can be in any given situation. How each individual influence on the life around us reaches much farther than we might imagine.
At the same time that it is important to remember that we each have a role to play, and how we play it is a critical influencer in the outcomes around us, It is also important to keep our humility at the same time. After all, every person each of us knows, and even the ones that we don’t know, all have the potential to make the same amount of difference and we can, just like us, if they choose too.
Peace,
Amista
